On this overcast and cloudy day on Oahu, I am reminded too:
– Stop the Rain –
“Confess your faults one to another, and pray for one another, that you might be healed. the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much Elias (Elijah) was a man subject to like passions is we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months. and he prayed again and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit” James 5:16-18
As we focus and prepare to hear, we know that storms and problems come on our lives, so heavy at times that it make it seem like its always raining. It rains in our homes, our marriages, our relationships, our finances: “she didn’t understand me” and “I didn’t understand her” or ” I don’t like the way he/she speaks” “are you listening to me” “you are never here” “you place everyone else before me”; the list goes on and on, it includes or revolves around money, children, time (together, family and intimate) is so strained. We talk about being cloned or the hours of the day being extended not realizing to be in the Will of God, we must at times endure persecution, test and lessons to increase our faith. We need to stop thinking that the problem is hopeless and speak to the storm, the situations in life we find ourselves in and tell the “RAIN to Stop!” JESUS commanded peace, be still.
Don’t become or allow overwhelming fear (spirit) of doubt cause us to look at the financial problem, relationship problems, children problems and family problems to turn away from or stoo trusting God. GOD is always bigger than our problems. We must not be fearful or afraid to confess our faults to one another, to apologize to one another to say I’m sorry and to forgive.
Seek the Father and be truthful We must seek the Word always and then when it rains, we bombard heaven with fervent, true, wholehearted prayers that means that you have to be in a mindset of God’s Will; you have to understand for you to be free from that place of pain, from that place of no longer bound; you have to begin speaking things into the atmosphere. Stop the enemy from attacking you and righteously pray the will of God and watch the rain stop in your life.
And then in that moment of time, in due season when you are capable, manageable and stronger in God. When you have made it to the place, pray for the rain to return, to refresh, pour and water you for further growth in the kingdom. I decree, I declare and would have you all to be free; for the rain to stop long enough for you to see the cleansing power of the blood of Jesus Christ to perform greater works within you.
The next storm that rages in and over your life, speak sternly having faith and command that “Peace, Be still!”
