Faith Requires

My inspiration today comes primarily from 2 Corinthians 5:7 a very familiar text we all know, repeat, share, comment, often times pray but now let’s dive a little deeper

“Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord: (For we walk by faith, not by sight:)  We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord” 2 Corinthians 5:6- 8 KJV

  ~Truth 101~
The truth of the matter is “We walk by faith not by sight” forward progress in the direction of seeking and knowing the One True GOD…a path/road with a direction and purpose..the very definition of walk implies steps a person must take to move in a particular direction by placing one foot in front of the other moving…”forward” not backwards or side to side…not standing still as movement is required. While walking there will be and are certain things in life we tend to look at, to stop and smell the proverbial roses, things we see, are drawn to, catch our attention and distract us….but it’s not faith we truly are using if everything seen through our eyes causes us to stop moving forward…stop walking…stop seeing the direction we going because of something or someone else….hmmm??
There are some things in life we are not supposed to see, a reason things are hidden, most times to protect us from falling…hidden to make us hear from GOD by seeking His voice, His plans for our life…

Faith requires us to believe in, seek, hear and know GOD.
Faith requires us to follow, lead and become obedient.
Faith ensures our foundation is solid and provides us hope.
Faith is visible yet is also invisible…
Faith and Love share the same characteristics…hmm

be encouraged
